We are happy to welcome a special guest speaker Daniel Tews, a former Lutheran Pastor who will be sharing his spiritual journey home to the Catholic Church. After his presentation, you are welcome to come to the Parish Center for a light lunch of sandwiches & chips and for an informal “QUESTIONS & ANSWERS” session. This would be a perfect opportunity to invite anyone you know who is interested in the Catholic Faith. If you have never had the honor to hear a conversion story, you do not want to miss this opportunity. Please give serious consideration to attending this presentation after the 10:30 am Eucharist. This spiritual event is being sponsored by the Pastoral Council. God bless you.
Below is pertinent information about Daniel so that you may know something about him before you hear him speak. In 2010 Daniel Tews was ordained as a Missouri Synod Lutheran Pastor. Daniel served as a Pastor in South Dakota from 2010 to 2015. As part of his pastoral studies Daniel decided to study the writings of the early church fathers. To his surprise he found that the early church fathers did not believe what he was taught in the Lutheran tradition. Daniel also found that certain passages in the Bible were contradicting many of his protestant positions. Through prayer and study Daniel was drawn to the Catholic Church for its unwavering biblical teachings and truth. In 2015 Daniel left his job as Lutheran Pastor and became Catholic. Daniels talk focuses on how prayer, study, and faith led him into the Catholic Church.
